"The megalomaniac differs from the narcissist by the fact that he wishes to be powerful rather than charming, and seeks to be feared rather than loved. To this type belong many lunatics and most of the great men of history."

The news this morning is so, so bad. I'm thankful that this study crunch has limited my time to bask in it.

The Atlantic reports that DJT now sees himself as the next Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, or Napoleon, unfettered in his power and desire to reshape the world before we pull the sheet over his bloated orange face.

And what would the William the Conqueror of Queens demand to make every world-traveling American wince in shame when presenting a passport in any civilized country? Putting his mug on that passport, of course.

Of course, I should be careful criticizing, because his Department of "Justice" is now fully unleashed. They indicted Comey again, this time over seashells. The grand jury also issued an arrest warrant because, well, they're in North Carolina, and all southern states are by natural sorting populated mostly with very stupid people. Another reason never even to travel to the South--Comey just made the mistake of snapping the seashell photo there on vacation, which gave them jurisdiction to convene the grand jury there to consider the "crime".

Speaking of stupid, take a look at the first page of the unhinged filing from the same collection of ass clowns, insisting that the Mad King get his new ballroom post haste:

I know there are a lot of non-lawyers out there who may not see this for the ridiculous, law-free motion that it is. Trust me: if I filed something like this, I'd be sanctioned, and rightfully so. But they've gotten rid of all the smart lawyers at DOJ, and all that's left are Federalist Society lickspittles. It must really suck to be a federal judge in DC or NY right now.

And they're coming for Jimmy Kimmel, as well, apparently threatening Disney's broadcast licenses if it doesn't toe the line. Disney should just take a page from the CBS playbook, which Sunday sanewashed the Trump interview on 60 Minutes by removing all the talk about the Southern Poverty Law Center being the equivalent of the KKK, one night after CBS's owner, Paramount, hosted a dinner for El Presidente and his minions that sank to a low even Fox News hadn't attained.

The wheels are coming off, friends, and fast. And as I've said before, these guys aren't going to accept defeat and failure, in no small part because there's much buzz about how after 2028 we might spend several years watching them all get charged and tried for what's already happened. We'll never go there because our Caesar and his Praetorian Guard won't let it happen.

But the blame here lies not with our megalomaniac monarch (apparently he posted something on social media depicting himself with King Charles, bearing the caption "Two Kings"), but with the people who elected him. The most recent polls show he still has a 34% approval rating, and a clear majority of Republicans support what's happening. It's impossible in 2026 to be a "good" Republican, any more than one could be a good Nazi in 1938. But there aren't enough MAGA voters to have caused this disaster; no, we got here because of folks like these, credulous and disaffected Trump voters who are "disappointed" in this debacle we're now living through:

This is a very stupid country.

Back to studying.
