Another quick entry because I'm about to start a deposition from the office Issac and Olivia set up for me at their place in Andover. We arrived yesterday, and it's been a steady stream of legal badness from the moment I sat down. I've grown weary of this profession and all the nastiness.

Last night we attended the Boston Arts Academy's annual dinner and fundraiser with the Reeves. Olivia's mom was the presenter over the course of a fairly remarkable evening--you don't generally get steak and lobster at one of these shindigs, or at least not in Bay County.

The whole clan was in attendance and dressed to the nines--I have photos, but no one gave me permission to post them so I'll respect everyone's privacy.

On the other hand, Melissa Manchester performed to cap off the evening, singing her hit "Don't Cry Out Loud" from way back in 1976, and I figure if you're up on stage you bear the risk of having your mug posted on some guy's blog. So here she is.

Today's plan calls for a short video deposition (although the other side is trying to hijack the exercise and go into a bunch of stuff that's outside what the rules allow--again, this job is zero fun), then I hope some lunch to soak up all this coffee, then flying back to KELM so we can ride up to the lake for a short weekend before I have to fly to Panama City for work on Sunday.
