It's Friday

"The rhythm of the weekend, with its birth, its planned gaiety, and its announced end, followed the rhythm of life and was a substitute for it."
Not much to say this morning, after P got the day off and we drove down to Manhattan for a long weekend.

Doing my best to enjoy the view, with our tumescent former German Cathollic Church outside the window, defying the wrecking ball for another day. Apparently developers have their eye on that very valuable space. Would be a pity.
Of course, it's just another workday for me, at least until noon or so. Working can be a challenge when Peg has the day off and nothing to do while I grind it out. My second call of the day is in a couple minutes.
Weekend plans include a trip to Macy's to buy the blazer I forgot to bring, then tonight to the Penn Club for a music and cocktail event. That's as far as our planning has gotten, but I don't see us getting bored here, ever.
