The Morning After

A busy one, but I wanted to take a minute to report that the farm took only minor damage from Hurricane Helene, which came ashore just a few miles to the southwest at Dekle Beach. We lost a screen porch, some trees, and maybe a calf, but other than that we dodged a major bullet. P and I will be there next week cleaning up, but I don't view that trip with the sense of foreboding and dread I felt this time yesterday.
